The Vision

Nurturing Excellence In Every Sphere.

Menaul School is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico — the state's largest city, set nearly a mile high along the Rio Grande with the Sandia Mountains rising to the east. The metro area of roughly 900,000 blends Native American, Hispanic, and Anglo cultures into a food, art, and festival scene found nowhere else in America. The cost of living sits below the national average, and the economy spans national laboratories, technology, healthcare, and a thriving film industry. The school's historic tree-lined campus sits near the center of the city with easy freeway access.

Founded in 1896, Menaul School is a faith-informed, coeducational college-preparatory day and boarding school for grades 6–12 in the heart of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Its curriculum stands on three pillars — the European liberal arts tradition, the American college-preparatory tradition, and the school's Presbyterian mission heritage — educating students in mind, body, and spirit. Seventeen AP courses, a weighted grading scale, and a 30:1 student-to-counselor college guidance program send 99 percent of graduates to four-year universities. International students in grades 6–12 live in on-campus dormitories with dorm parents, supported by robust ESL programming, daily chapel, Mission Week service, NMAA athletics, and a scholastic fencing program directed by a three-time U.S. Olympian.
